Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect

• Account information. When you sign in with Google or Discord, we receive a basic profile from that provider (such as a user identifier, display name, and email address) to create and identify your account. We do not receive your password.
• Decks and content you create. Decks you save, along with any public decks you share, are stored in our database (Google Cloud Firestore) and associated with your account.
• Analytics data. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used (for example, which pages are visited). This may include your approximate location, device and browser type, and pages viewed.

2. How We Use Information

• To provide core features: signing in, saving decks, and sharing decks.
• To identify the creator of public decks by display name.
• To understand aggregate usage and improve the site.

We do not sell your personal information.

3. Authentication & Accounts

Sign-in is handled through Google and Discord OAuth. A Google login and a Discord login are treated as separate accounts, even for the same person — we do not link identities across providers. Each account’s saved decks are kept separate.

4. Cookies & Analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in and to power Google Analytics. Because the site is intended for a United States audience, we use standard Google Analytics without a cookie-consent banner. You can control cookies through your browser settings and can opt out of Google Analytics using Google’s opt-out browser add-on.

5. Data Sharing

We share data only with the service providers that operate the site: Google Cloud (hosting and Firestore database), Google Analytics, and the identity providers you choose to sign in with (Google, Discord). We may disclose information if required by law.

6. Data Retention & Your Choices

Your account and decks are retained until you delete them or request account deletion. You can delete individual decks at any time. To request deletion of your account and associated data, contact admin@catadb.com.

7. Children’s Privacy

CataDB is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The “last updated” date above reflects the most recent revision.
